Before Portl, users had to bounce between apps for events, payments, and social connection. Event platforms lacked personalization, crypto payments were rarely supported, and there was no real sense of community. Portl set out to change that.
We envisioned Portl not just as an event app – but as a social gateway. A place where users could discover events, book with ease, connect with friends, message other attendees, and send gifts. All within one platform. All in real time.
We built the app around three core experiences: Explore (find & book events), Engage (message, connect, share), and Transact (pay with crypto or card). We designed sleek event cards, profile-based recommendations, and added social features like direct messaging, gifting, and mutual friend discovery to foster real in-app connection.
Portl launched with a clean interface, secure crypto & card payments, and a vibrant community layer. Users can now go from discovering events to chatting with friends and sending gifts – all without leaving the app. It’s not just about going out – it’s about going together.
